Data on your device

The app stores pets, pet passport entries, trips, contacts, photos and settings exclusively on your iPhone. We have no access to them. Storing them is strictly necessary for the features you request (Section 25(2) No. 2 of the German TDDDG; Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive).

If you enter other people's data, such as emergency contacts, it also stays only on your device. iPhone backups via iCloud or a computer include the data; Apple's terms apply. You can remove everything at any time in the app or by deleting the app.

Backup and sharing

Encrypted backup and sharing files are only created at your request. You decide where to send or store them, for example iCloud Drive, AirDrop or Mail; the terms of the respective service apply.

Camera and photos

The app analyses images of the pet passport on the device. From your photo library it only receives the photos you select. A photo is only saved if you explicitly adopt it.

Location and vet search

Only if you allow location access and start a search does the app send your location and the search term to Apple Maps (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

For users in the EU, Apple Distribution International Ltd., Ireland, is responsible for Apple's processing. Apple bases transfers to the USA on standard contractual clauses.

We do not store your location. You can withdraw access at any time in the iPhone settings or type in a place instead.

Calendar and notifications

The app only adds appointments to your calendar at your request. Reminders are scheduled on the iPhone, without a server.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions run through the App Store; your contracting party is Apple. We receive no payment or personal data, only aggregated sales figures.

Crash reports

If you have turned on "Share With App Developers" under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple provides us with crash reports and usage statistics in a form that does not personally identify you. We use them only to fix errors (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can turn this off there at any time.

Links

Linked pages of authorities, airlines and sources open in the browser. The privacy policies of the respective providers apply there.

Email and feedback

The feedback email sent from the app contains the app version, iOS version and device type; you see this information before sending and can delete it.

We process your message and address only to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We delete them as soon as they are no longer needed and no statutory retention obligation applies.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Art. 15 to 20 GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live. The authority responsible for us is:

Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (Bavarian Data Protection Authority, BayLDA)
Promenade 18
91522 Ansbach
Germany

Right to object

Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). An informal email to webmaster@munichappdesign.de is sufficient.

Further information

You are not required to provide any data; without entries, however, the app cannot calculate deadlines. There is no automated decision-making, including profiling. The app calculates deadlines only on your device as an aid for you.

Users in Canada
The person in charge of the protection of personal information is the owner: Dr. med. Vincent Lallinger, webmaster@munichappdesign.de. The app collects no data; only the vet search sends your location and search term to Apple with your permission, including outside Canada. You have the right to access, rectification and withdrawal of consent. Please address complaints to us first; you can also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Users in the United States
We do not sell or share personal information. There is no advertising and no tracking across apps or websites.
